ShoeFreaks Affiliate Program Terms & ConditionsEffective Date: May 13, 2026
Welcome to the ShoeFreaks Affiliate Program. These Terms & Conditions govern your participation in the program. By applying to or participating in the ShoeFreaks Affiliate Program, you agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Program ParticipationParticipation in the ShoeFreaks Affiliate Program is subject to approval by ShoeFreaks.ShoeFreaks reserves the right to approve or reject any application at its sole discretion and may suspend or terminate participation in accordance with these Terms.Participation in the program constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any future amendments.
2. Program PurposeThe ShoeFreaks Affiliate Program is intended to reward affiliates who generate genuine, incremental sales through ethical and compliant marketing practices.ShoeFreaks is committed to paying valid commissions promptly while maintaining the integrity of the program through reasonable fraud prevention, attribution validation, and compliance reviews.
3. Affiliate ResponsibilitiesAffiliates agree to:
- Promote ShoeFreaks honestly and ethically.
- Comply with all applicable laws and advertising regulations.
- Maintain accurate contact and payment information.
- Ensure all promotional content is truthful and not misleading.
- Follow these Terms at all times.
4. Approved Promotional MethodsUnless otherwise approved in writing, affiliates may promote ShoeFreaks through:
- Original editorial websites
- Online communities where promotional content is permitted
5. Prohibited Promotional MethodsThe following activities are strictly prohibited.
Paid Search & Trademark BiddingWithout prior written approval, affiliates may not:
- Bid on any ShoeFreaks trademark, misspelling, or variation
- Bid on searches including "ShoeFreaks coupon", "ShoeFreaks promo code", or similar branded terms
- Direct paid advertisements to ShoeFreaks using affiliate links
These restrictions apply to Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Shopping campaigns, Performance Max, AI-powered advertising platforms, and any other paid search platform.
Cookie StuffingPlacing affiliate cookies without a genuine user-initiated click is prohibited.
Forced RedirectsAutomatic redirects, hidden redirects, pop-ups, pop-unders, hidden frames, or any technology that forces affiliate tracking without the user's knowledge are prohibited.
Browser Extensions & ToolbarsBrowser extensions, coupon injectors, shopping assistants, toolbars, or software that modifies affiliate attribution without explicit user intent are prohibited unless approved in writing.
MisrepresentationAffiliates may not:
- Represent themselves as ShoeFreaks.
- Imply they are employees or agents of ShoeFreaks.
- Create websites, advertisements, or social media accounts that could reasonably confuse consumers into believing they are official ShoeFreaks properties.
Unauthorized CouponsAffiliates may not advertise coupon codes, promotions, or discounts that have not been officially authorized by ShoeFreaks.
SpamSpam in any form is prohibited, including unsolicited email, automated messaging, or misleading promotional tactics.
Artificial TrafficTraffic generated through bots, click farms, automated software, or other non-genuine methods is prohibited.
6. Commission EligibilityCommissions are earned only on qualifying purchases that:
- Are successfully completed.
- Are not cancelled, refunded, or charged back.
All commissions remain provisional until validated by ShoeFreaks.
7. Commission Approval & PaymentAll commissions remain pending until validated by ShoeFreaks.Validation may include review for:
- Compliance with these Terms
Affiliates may request payment at any time once:
- Their approved commission balance exceeds CAD $100, and
- All requested commissions have been validated.
ShoeFreaks will make reasonable efforts to process approved payment requests promptly.
8. Compliance Reviews & Payment HoldsShoeFreaks reserves the right to temporarily delay payment while conducting a compliance review.Examples include:
- Suspicious or unusual traffic patterns
- Suspected violations of these Terms
- Requests for additional verification
A payment hold does not constitute a finding of wrongdoing and will remain only for the period reasonably necessary to complete the review.If a review confirms compliance with these Terms, payment will be released.If a review determines that commissions resulted from prohibited activity or otherwise violate these Terms, ShoeFreaks reserves the right to reduce, reverse, or deny those commissions.
9. Traffic VerificationAffiliates must maintain sufficient records to demonstrate that commissions were earned through promotional methods that comply with these Terms.Upon reasonable request, ShoeFreaks may require information sufficient to verify:
- General categories of traffic sources
- Whether paid advertising was used
- Whether third-party advertising networks or intermediaries were involved
- Compliance with ShoeFreaks advertising policies
ShoeFreaks does not require disclosure of confidential business strategies or proprietary placement details. However, affiliates must provide sufficient information to reasonably verify compliance.Failure or refusal to provide sufficient information may result in commission adjustments, payment delays, suspension, or termination.
10. Invalid CommissionsNo commission will be paid for transactions resulting from:
- Cancelled or refunded orders
- Self-purchases intended to generate commissions
- Trademark bidding in violation of these Terms
- Unauthorized paid advertising
- Any activity that violates these Terms
11. Commission AdjustmentsShoeFreaks reserves the right to adjust, reverse, or deny commissions that are later determined to be invalid due to:
- Any circumstance that renders a commission ineligible under these Terms
12. Intellectual PropertyAffiliates may use ShoeFreaks logos, product images, and marketing materials only as supplied or approved by ShoeFreaks.Affiliates may not modify ShoeFreaks trademarks or use ShoeFreaks branding in a misleading or deceptive manner.
13. Program ChangesShoeFreaks reserves the right to modify:
- Approved promotional methods
Reasonable notice will be provided where practical.Continued participation after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. TerminationEither party may terminate participation in the Affiliate Program at any time.Termination does not automatically entitle an affiliate to unpaid commissions.Only commissions that have been validated and determined to comply with these Terms will remain payable.Upon termination, affiliates must promptly remove all ShoeFreaks affiliate links, branding, and promotional materials.
15. Limitation of LiabilityTo the fullest extent permitted by law, ShoeFreaks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from participation in the Affiliate Program.ShoeFreaks' total liability shall not exceed the amount of validated and unpaid commissions owed to the affiliate.
16. Governing LawThese Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the applicable laws of Canada.Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Quebec.
17. Right to AuditShoeFreaks reserves the right to audit any affiliate account at any time to verify compliance with these Terms and the integrity of commissions earned.As part of an audit, ShoeFreaks may reasonably request information relating to:
- Any other information reasonably necessary to verify compliance
ShoeFreaks will not require affiliates to disclose confidential business strategies, proprietary customer lists, or commercially sensitive placement details beyond what is reasonably necessary to verify compliance.Failure or refusal to provide sufficient information to reasonably verify compliance may result in:
- Temporary suspension of commission payments
- Adjustment or reversal of invalid commissions
- Suspension from the Affiliate Program
- Termination from the Affiliate Program
An audit or payment hold does not constitute a finding of wrongdoing and will remain in effect only for the period reasonably necessary to complete the review.
18. Attribution & Existing Customer PolicyThe purpose of this Affiliate Program is to reward affiliates who generate legitimate, incremental customer acquisition. ShoeFreaks reserves the right to deny or adjust commissions where the affiliate did not materially contribute to the customer's purchasing decision or where attribution has been manipulated.Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Last-click attribution manipulation
- Unauthorized cashback or loyalty programs
- Unauthorized paid search advertising
- Any activity that captures existing purchase intent rather than generating new customer acquisition
Where multiple marketing channels contribute to a sale, ShoeFreaks reserves the right to determine commission eligibility based on its internal attribution methodology and the overall contribution of the affiliate to the customer's purchase journey.
19. Disclosure of Material Marketing ChangesAffiliates must promptly notify ShoeFreaks if they materially change how they promote the brand, including but not limited to:
- Beginning paid advertising campaigns
- Using third-party traffic providers
- Working with advertising networks or subcontractors
- Launching browser extensions or applications
- Introducing coupon technology
- Implementing new promotional methods not previously disclosed
Failure to disclose a material change may result in commission review, suspension, or termination from the Affiliate Program.
